The problem

Everyday apps. Real risks.

Children can encounter harmful content and exploitation in the places they go to learn, play and talk to friends. Many never tell anyone.

  • Nearly 1 in 5

internet-using children aged 12–17 across 21 studied countries experienced sexual exploitation or abuse facilitated by technology in one year. An estimated 20 million children.

Protection needs to be part of the spaces children use every day, with support they can trust.

Why Shahin

Safety belongs in the phone.

Most protection tools are separate apps a child can simply remove. Shahin starts with Android itself, so protection can work across the phone, respond in real time, and be much harder to switch off.

  • On-deviceSafety checks run on the phone
  • Parent controlsApp limits, screen time and location
  • عربي + ENArabic and English from day one

Named for the falcon.

Shahin is the Arabic name for the peregrine falcon, prized across the Gulf for its sight. It watches quietly, so a family doesn't have to watch everything.

Where Shahin is today.

Shahin OS is a working prototype. We are developing the family phone alongside the Android prototype and parent dashboard.
